Sioux Falls, SD, October 28 2014 - Senator Angus King (I-Maine) today endorsed former Senator Larry Pressler in the South Dakota US Senate race. SENATOR PRESSLER, WHO HAS SUFFERED FROM POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER (PTSD), WILL MAKE TREATMENT OF PTSD ONE OF HIS FIRST LEGISLATIVE INITAITIVES

Sioux Falls, SD, October 26 2014 - Senator Larry Pressler, himself a post-traumatic stress disorder sufferer from his two tours of combat duty in Vietnam, today reacted to the Argus Leader article “Tami’s Torment” written by Steve Young by proposing that a national PTSD center be located at Hot Springs, South Dakota at the existing veterans facilities in Hot Springs. Steve Young’s piece discussed the story of a 25-year veteran of the South Dakota National Guard who had been deployed to Iraq. She recently committed suicide in Sioux Falls.

“I think Mr. Young’s poignant article on Tami’s suicide in South Dakota should remind us all that a lot of veterans, men and women, have PTSD,” said Senator Pressler.

FBI Agent in Charge of Largest Congressional Sting to Campaign with Senator Pressler in South Dakota; Press Conferences Planned in Sioux Falls, Watertown, Aberdeen and Rapid City

Sioux Falls, SD, October 21 2014 – John Good, the FBI Agent who led the Congressional sting operation known as ‘Abscam’ (which was portrayed in the movie American Hustle) will be arriving in South Dakota to campaign with Senator Pressler on Wednesday, October 22. Agent Good announced his endorsement of Senator Pressler last week, stating, “The only way this country is ever going to recover from the disastrous gridlock taking place now is to get people like Pressler in there. I am 100% behind Pressler. I would do anything for him.”

Agent Good will appear with Senator Pressler in press conferences in Sioux Falls, Watertown, Aberdeen and Rapid City, and will be campaigning in other locations throughout the state.

Pressler Shows Solid Gains

Sioux Falls, SD, September 29 2014 – Northern Plains News (http://npntestfeed.blogspot.com/), a South Dakota news organization, today released the results of a poll it had commissioned on the South Dakota Senate race. The poll, which was conducted by Nielson Brothers Polling, (http://www.nielsonbrotherspolling.com/index.php), one of South Dakota and the region’s most respected pollsters, showed solid gains by Independent Larry Pressler, and that he has a path to victory.

The poll was unique in that it demonstrated, as newsman Todd Epp remarked, “if Weiland dropped out of the race, Pressler and Rounds would be in a virtual dead heat,” whereas Rounds would maintain a substantial lead on Weiland if Pressler were to drop out.
